Time
Where does the time go--the kittens will be six weeks old tomorrow and they are so cute. They have started eating well. I have named two of them, I need to try and find homes for them all, but no one seems to need a kitten.
The daylilies have performed wonderfully this year, I think they are the best they have ever been.
One of life's lessons is learned when you raise daylilies. They only last for one day, each bloom is only open one day. If I neglect to go out and look at the blooms each day, then I will miss something. Life is so much the same, turn around and they days are gone.

The Miracle of life
Our cat had her kittens yesterday afternoon. Her name is Kit, she has lived with us about a year and a half now. My daughter talked us into giving her a home with all kinds of promises of having her spayed---did not happen.
This cat was a small kitten herself, that apparently someone had dumped, we had just the month before lost a tom cat that we dearly loved. It was hard to even think about another cat with the loss so great still on our hearts.
My daughter is 22 and she is gone much more than home, so Kit bonded with me. She loves Jerry and Cayla, but I am the one who feeds her and lets her in and out of the house, cleans her litter box and lets her sit in my lap.
The wonder of this all to me is how she knew exactly what to do. She has never been around any other cats, but she delivered 4 healthy kittens and never even cried, just like she had taken classes on how to give birth and how to nurse babies.
Isn't the creation of God amazing? These brand new babies have awed me, just knowing that God created them and God created Kit and gave her all she needs to be a good Mother to her kittens.

I am so proud of me !!!
I love playing with beads, I like doing pieces that you make with a needle and thread.
The hardest part to me is adding more thread, when you cut the ends you tied in, you can never get close enough it does not show. I thought I would get a thread burner.
I looked and looked and the cheapest thread burner I coudl find was 20 bucks and up.
I made this one of a kind bracelet for a friend of mine. Do you see that tiny thread on the bottom near the left hand side? That was bugging me to no end. Then inspiration struck !
I went and got a regular pencil with an eraser--stuck a sewing needle into the erase. Then I turned on my electric stove eye and heated the needle and burned the thread !!!
Now that tiny little snippet of a thread that looked like it was hanging down a mile to me is gone and I am very happy with the results.
For all the other jewelry makers out there, the reason I attached a small piece of elastic to fasten over the button is because I do not know her exact wrist size. I know she is tiny and make it pretty close I am sure, but if it need a little stretch that little bit of elastic will do the trick.
So here is the little tool that saved me 20 bucks

Spring, Glorious Spring
We have waited for it for a lot of long cold days and night, and now it is finally here. The springtime that seemed an eternity away just a month ago is here.
Now I have found out what sitting in my recliner has done to my poor body. I am trying to get the yard and the flower beds cleaned up and oh my, the aches and pains. Sometimes I wonder why I love these plants like I do, then they start to bloom.
Just look at the beautiful bleeding hearts, all lined up in a row like that. They are just the cutest things. In a way it makes the long cold winter worth the wait to see everything come back to life again. Like seeing old friends, that have been on a long trip.
The Poppy with the yellow bloom, just screams SPRING IS HERE, everybody wake up !

Hebrews 4
12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
I got the last verse of this passage in a mail that I receive daily. It got me to thinking (which is sometimes a dangerous thing) about how some people think of God. We have been told to come BOLDLY unto the throne of grace. In the movies we see that common people will approach a throne of a King or Queen with head bowed and their eyes averted, as though they are not worthy to even approach that throne.
I want to Praise the Lord that He bids me come to Him boldly, for I surely need that mercy and grace the He so freely gives.
